Journalism Awards and Installation Dinner

Monday, June 16th
7:00p.m. to 11:00 p.m
The Water Club, Manhattan
23rd Street & the FDR

The presentation of the Press Club's prestigious journalism awards is traditionally coupled with the installation ceremony for new club officers at a festive dinner that combines all the elements you might expect at an awards ceremony: suspense, anticipation, elation, disbelief, disappointment, incredulity. Even some gloating and sulking.

The upshot, always, is well-deserved recognition by peers of excellence and accomplishment in journalism and often, new resolve among those attending to nuture that tradition into years yet to come.

And what better surroundings for such high emotion. This year's awards and dinner, as last year's, will be held at Manhattan's Water Club. It is an intimate and delightful setting, an ideal venue for the business at hand.

Members: $100
Non-members:
$125

RSVP with credit card.

You may also reserve by sending a check to:

New York Press Club Foundation Journalism Conference
Saturday, November 15th
New York University Kimmel Center
60 Washington Square South at LaGuardia Place
Time and conference tracks TBA

Save the date for this year's New York Press Club Foundation Journalism Conference, now in its 16th year.

Long recognized as the premier event of its kind in metro New York, this year's event upholds that proud tradition.

The theme this year is "The Reality of News". In addition to numerous conference tracks and break-outs that will feature respected working journalists and academics, the conference will again offer elements of useful interest to all ranks: students, journeymen and women and, yes, even grizzled veterans will find the gathering and the gatherers stimulating and rewarding.

Our popular résumé and demo tape review will again be offered - be sure to keep that in mind as the months of spring and summer fly by.

Check back here in the weeks ahead for detailed information about this must-attend event.
